Dear Members and Friends,

I would like to thank you all for coming to yesterday’s Kenya Society Annual Lunch – our most successful and well-attended Lunch to date.

In particular, I would like to thank Harriett Baldwin MP, Minister for Africa, for her message of support to the Society; Colin Church – now OBE – for stepping in and delivering a keynote speech on the vital importance of conservation in Kenya, not just for its biodiversity but its people also, and our hosts the Royal Over-Seas League, led by Dr. Diana Owen, Director General.

A special appreciation to our Corporate Partners for 2018; Key Sponsor – Windsor Golf Hotel and Country Club for providing the key prize for the raffle drawn by Lady Elizabeth Aberdare; Exhibitors – Camilla Le May Sculpture, Karen Roses, Kericho Gold Tea, Manyatta Belts, Kezhia Fields Tribal Arts, Njeri Illustrated and World Remit whose “Made in Kenya” products and services were well received, and you will see more of as we promote their brands this year in line with Kenya’s Trade Export Policy.

The post event feedback has been encouraging and we hope you all enjoyed yourselves networking and engaging with other friends of Kenya. We would like to encourage you to send any comments, positive or negative, to Pamela Chesire, Secretary on as we seek to further improve our service delivery.

Thank you again, and we look forward to welcoming you to our next event, The Summer Garden Party, traditionally hosted at the High Commissioner’s residence in Hampstead.

With kind regards,

Patrick Orr, CHAIRMAN
