With the platform of an MBA from Harvard, First Chicago gave me a chance to open a Branch in Nairobi, Kenya, in 1969, now called The first American Bank in Kenya.

I was able to obtain mandates to assemble the first three Eurodollar loans to the Government of Kenya and to assemble the largest domestic financing for Kenya Breweries.

On vacations and some extended weekends, I was given the opportunity to enhance my photographic interest and had exhibitions in the newly opened Kenyatta Conference Centre, the New Stanley Hotel and the Nairobi Hilton.

In London, I have had the privilege of joining Transparency International, U. K., The Kenya Society and The Eastern African Association.  My interest in Kenya is deep and continuing, via these associations and friendships.
