Wildlife Author

Ashwin Dave was born and raised in Kenya. The family moved firstly to South India and then onto the United Kingdom in 1977.

The author returned to Kenya after graduate studies and worked briefly with the Dept. of Wildlife Conservation (Ministry of Tourism), which later became the Kenya Wildlife Services. The author, prior to his transfer to the Masai Mara Game Reserve, returned to the UK to pursue postgraduate studies at the Royal Postgraduate Medical School – MSc in Pathology/Toxicology, University of London.

After brief stints as an expatriate in South India and Kenya, Ashwin Dave has lived in London intermittently since 1977. He turned to full time writing in 2017 and has published ‘The Ivory Towers & Other Stories’, a compilation of his short stories, and ‘When Elephants Fight’, his debut thriller set in Kenya.

The books were launched on Amazon in 2018 and 2021, respectively. He is currently working on a sequel to WEF.

The author, who is a keen cricketer, learnt his cricket on the streets of Nairobi in the 60s and has represented his school, college and university. He briefly played for Ngara Sports Club in 1979/80.
