Our Heritage
The Kenya Society UK was founded in 1989 by Amb. Dr Sally Kosgei, then Kenyan High Commissioner, to foster good relations between the peoples of the United Kingdom and Kenya. Dr Kosgei has had a long and distinguished career as Ambassador, Head of Public Service, and Government Minister.
She introduced the popular Annual Summer Garden Party which is hosted at the High Commissioner’s residence, and is now firmly in the Mission and Society calendar. Sally remains an active member of the Society, and graciously lends her support when called to.
