CELEBRATE AFRICA DAY 2023

Dear Kenya Society Members,

On behalf of the Kenya Society Committee, I would like to wish you all a happy Africa Day – a day to celebrate the diversity and richness of the African Continent. 

Today, as we hold the Society’s 33rd Annual General Meeting and Annual Lunch, we join the rest of Africa in reflecting on our shared history, celebrating our diversity, and renewing our commitment to the development and progress of our continent as we look forward to the future.

As members of Kenya Society, we have a unique connection to Africa Day. Kenya is a proud member of the African Union. As one of the founding members of the Organization of African Unity, Kenya has played an important role in shaping the continent’s history and future. Our diverse culture, rich history, and natural beauty are just a few of the things that make Kenya a unique and special place.

On this occasion, we celebrate Kenya’s contributions to the African continent and reaffirm our commitment to promoting our country’s interests and values. We also recognise that there is still much work to be done to ensure that Kenya and the rest of Africa reach their full potential. As members of Kenya Society, we have a responsibility to work towards this goal, through our individual and collective efforts.

Let us take this opportunity to celebrate Africa Day, and renew our commitment to building a better future for ourselves, our country, and our continent.
