Statement by the Kenya Society Chair

On behalf of Kenya Society UK members, I congratulate H.E. Hon. Dr. William Samoei Ruto, CGH, and H.E. Hon. Rigathi Gachagua, on their inauguration as President and Deputy President, respectively, of the Republic of Kenya.

I also wish to applaud and congratulate President Ruto for his announcement, during his inauguration speech, to elevate Diaspora issues at ministerial level and strengthen their public participation.

As non-political Society that provides a forum to promote the understanding of the history of Kenya, relations between the United Kingdom and Kenya, and contemporary developments in Kenya, we look forward to working with the incoming government with the assurance of our continued cooperation and support in achieving the aspirations of a united, thriving, and prosperous Kenya.
